Key or gift card: which to buy

When a game key beats a wallet card, and when it’s the other way round.3 min read

A game key unlocks a particular game on the platform printed on the card. A gift card adds credit to a store wallet. A top-up adds currency to one game. Choose the type that matches what you want to give.

Explainer

Region locks, explained

Why a code from one country may not work in another, and what to check.2 min read

Check the region and currency against the recipient’s store account before purchasing. A matching platform name alone does not guarantee a code is compatible.

How-to

How to gift a game code

Pick their platform, check their region, and find their next favourite game.2 min read

Check which platform your friend uses and which games they already own. If you are unsure what they would like, a wallet card gives them the choice. Cardwave is still a preview; gifting and delivery are not available here yet.

Can I buy a code here yet?

Not yet. This is a preview of the Cardwave storefront. Products and USD prices are examples from our design, not live inventory or current offers. Join the waitlist to hear when we open.

How will I get my code?

We are building a marketplace for digital codes. Delivery options and timing will be shown when buying becomes available. This preview does not take payments or deliver codes.

Will it work in my country?

Codes can be restricted by platform, region and currency. Always check those details against your store account before buying. The sample cards here do not establish availability in your country.

What if a code doesn’t work?

Support and refund terms will be published before purchases open. There are no orders or codes to redeem in this preview.

Is Cardwave the official store?

No. Cardwave is independent and not affiliated with the platforms shown here. Their names identify where the example products would be redeemed.
